St. John's to celebrate National Child Day

November 20 is National Child Day in Canada.

It's a day to celebrate the rights of children everywhere to live happy, healthy lives, and to support them in reaching their full potential.

The City of St. John’s is offering free events and programs from November 15 to 20 at various community centres to celebrate.

Events include Youth Drop-In Programs, Everyone Welcome Swims and Active Playgroup. On November 15, from 10 a.m. to noon, there will be a Move it Family Fun Event at Kenmount Terrace Community Centre. Activities will include games, bouncy castles and a sensory-friendly zone. Mascots may be present.
