The City of St. John's will spend $3.5 million on snow-clearing contracts for three regions of the city.

Contracts have been awarded to clear the snow in Southlands, Kenmount Terrace, and Airport Heights.

The contract for Southlands is valued at $1.5 million, the contract for Kenmount Terrace will cost $1.2 million, and the contract for the Airport Heights area will cost $800,000.

All streets within these subdivisions are expected to be completed by Sunday, March 1, weather permitting.

Any additional snowfall may result in delays. Snow clearing operations may take place during both daytime and nighttime hours as required.
