St. John’s seeking new street names

The City of St. John’s is expanding its Reserved Street Names Inventory. Residents are encouraged to submit their ideas.

Names added to the inventory list, which is used when new streets are developed and require official names approved by the City, can reflect the city’s history, natural beauty, and culture.

Ideas include names based on places or events, flora or fauna, natural or geographical features, cultural themes or shared experiences, and existing neighbourhood naming themes.

Names of individuals, living or deceased, will not be accepted.
