St. John's releases New Year's Eve schedule

With today being New Year's Eve, City offices and facilities in St. John's will be closed today at noon and will reopen on Friday.

Access St. John’s is available to residents 24/7.

All City parking bylaws are still in effect; however, paid parking regulations will not be enforced tomorrow.

Animal Care and Adoption Centre will be closed, but staff will be available for emergency care during the holidays.

To celebrate, there will be a Gym and Swim event at the Paul Reynolds Community Centre and the H.G.R. Mews Community Centre.

A Skating Party will take place at The Loop from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

There will be a Countdown Celebration and Fireworks at Quidi Vidi Lake from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

If the weather is unsuitable, the countdown celebration will be cancelled and the fireworks display will be rescheduled to 8:00 p.m. on January 1.

The Quidi Vidi dog park and walking trail will be closed today and will reopen on January 1 after the site has been checked and deemed clear.
