St. John's Regional Fire Department issues fire advisory

The St. John's Regional Fire Department has revised its fire advisory.

The revision includes a ban on open fires and fire pits and chimineas.

This applies to St. John's, Mount Pearl, and Paradise.

In the meantime, residents are asked to be fire safe when using propane barbeques and firepits and to keep a hose or fire extinguisher handy.

Until further notice, the use of consumer fireworks is not permitted.
