Writer: Web WritersWeb Writers

Once again this year the City of St. John's is opening the Residential Re-Leaf program.

The program allows residents to apply for a $200 tree voucher towards the purchase of a tree to plant on their property. There are 120 vouchers available.

Applications will be accepted until 4 p.m. June 6. Eligible applications will be entered into a draw. Successful applicants will receive their vouchers by mail in late June.

Applications can be submitted directly by filling out an online form. An alternate format is available to submit via email at pwadmin@stjohns.ca or in person at Access St. John’s on the first floor of City Hall during business hours 8 a.m. to 4 pm. Mon. to Fri. Forms are also available in person at Access St. John’s.

In previous years, the program has been a success with hundreds of trees planted on homeowner properties throughout the city.
