St. John's awards over $1.7M in grants

The City of St. John's has awarded $1,233,075 in community grants and $482,000 in capital grants plus $51,086.77 in waived permit fees for 2023.

The grants and subsidies program provides financial and other resources to nonprofit groups, organizations and individuals whose programming supports strategic directions.

Assistance has been provided to 124 community groups and organizations and 62 individual artists.

Capital grants are awarded to eligible applicants for capital purchases, such as building repairs or construction.
