St. John's asking for donations to REAL Program

The City of St. John's is asking residents to consider giving the gift of play to a child in need by donating to the REAL Program this holiday season.

Holiday-themed greeting cards are available for purchase to support the REAL Program. Cards are five for $20 and are available at Access St. John's, the Paul Reynolds Community Centre and the H.G.R. Mews Community Centre or by email at Real@StJohns.ca.

One hundred percent of the purchase will go towards paying for the placement of a child in an activity of their choice.

The REAL Program is a nonprofit program that provides recreation and leisure opportunities to children and youth in financial need by matching them with an organized recreational activity of their choice. It costs approximately $200 to provide a program or class space for one young person.
