The 2026 cruise ship season will officially begin in the City of St. John’s today, as the city welcomes passengers and crew aboard SH Vega to the Port of St. John’s.

The SH Vega, operated by Swan Hellenic, is scheduled to arrive in St. John’s Harbour at 8 a.m. with approximately 269 passengers and crew on board.

The City, along with the St. John's Port Authority and industry partners, said it is preparing for another active cruise season in 2026. Between May and October, 39 cruise ship visits are scheduled from 25 cruise lines, with more than 36,000 passengers expected to visit the city throughout the season.
