St. John's and Canada Games seeking mural for downtown

The City of St. John’s has partnered with the 2025 Canada Games to create a mural celebrating the history and contributions of the Newfoundland and Labrador Francophone community.

A request for proposals has been issued seeking an artist or artist team connected to the Newfoundland and Labrador Francophone community, with submissions judged by a panel including City staff, arts community members, and Games representatives.

The mural will be installed on Duckworth Street.

This project is funded through the City’s Public Art budget and Games partnership, continuing a successful approach of collaborating on public art projects in recent years.
