An area of low pressure will push across Atlantic Canada beginning on Tuesday.
The system will bring snow, wind, and rain as it tracks east of Nova Scotia.
There are special weather statements in effect for portions of eastern Newfoundland.
Snow will begin in southwestern Newfoundland on Tuesday afternoon and make it to most of the Island overnight on Tuesday.
On the Burin Peninsula and Southern Avalon, snow may mix with, or change to, rain.
While most of Newfoundland will only see about 5 to 10 cm of snow, the Burin, Avalon, and Bonavista Peninsula's along with the Clarenville area could see 20 to 30 cm of snow.
Strong winds are expected for eastern sections.
