Speed Enforcement Initiative Results in 26 Tickets in 2 Hours

RCMP in Glovertown teamed up with Parks Canada for a speed enforcement initiative in Terra Nova National Park.

On Friday, in just over two hours, police and park wardens issued 26 summary offence tickets to speeding and aggressive drivers.

The RCMP reminded people that Parks Canada Wardens are also Federal Peace Officers and have the authority to stop violating motorists and can issues summary offence tickets under the NL Highway Traffic Act. Failure to stop for a park warden is the same as failing to stop for the police.
