The provincial government has expanded its automated speed enforcement program, with additional speed cameras now operating at several locations across Newfoundland and Labrador.
According to a public advisory issued Friday, two speed cameras previously located on the Veterans Memorial Highway have been relocated to the Foxtrap Access Road Overpass construction site and are now active.
Three additional cameras have also been activated at the intersection of West Valley Road and Raymond Heights in Corner Brook, on the Trans-Canada Highway in Deer Lake, and near the Elizabeth Goudie Building in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Other speed cameras remain in operation on the Trans-Canada Highway in Gander, on Waterford Bridge Road and Larkhall Street in St. John's, on Blackmarsh Road in Mount Pearl, and on Karwood Drive in Paradise.
Provincial officials said all 10 speed cameras are now live and capturing images of vehicles exceeding posted speed limits.
