Spaniard’s Bay man arrested for impaired driving

A 53-year-old Spaniard’s Bay man was arrested by Bay Roberts RCMP for impaired driving on Sunday, following the report of a suspected impaired driver.

Shortly after 4:00 p.m., police received the report of a suspected impaired driver in Spaniard’s Bay. A short time later, the vehicle was located and a traffic stop was conducted.

The driver showed signs of alcohol impairment and was arrested. The man provided breath samples that were more than three times the legal limit.

He was released from custody and is set to appear in court at a later date.
