Southlands May Leave St. John's

There will be a public meeting next week in Southlands to explore the possibility of leaving St. John's to join Mount Pearl.

For the most part, residents say that they travel to Mount Pearl for practically all services.

Southlands is currently a subdivision of St. John's.

In a recent poll conducted by a group on Facebook, 85 percent of residents were in support of joining Mount Pearl.
