Snow Conditions Delay Opening of Two Newfoundland Provincial Parks

Snow conditions have delayed the opening of two provincial parks in Newfoundland and Labrador until June 5.
ParksNL announced that both Pinware River Provincial Park and Pistolet Bay Provincial Park will remain closed beyond their planned opening dates due to lingering snow conditions.
Officials said existing reservations will be honoured, but no new reservations will be accepted until the parks open on June 5.
Visitors with current bookings are advised that campsite assignments may be adjusted because of snow-covered areas within the parks.
Despite the delayed opening, comfort stations, water taps and dumping stations will be available for park users.
ParksNL encouraged visitors with questions about reservations or campground conditions to contact the agency directly.
The agency thanked the public for its understanding and said it looks forward to welcoming visitors once conditions improve.
