Sheshatshiu RCMP is looking for a man with a firearm

UPDATE: Sheshatshiu RCMP advises residents that they can return to normal activities.  At this time, there is no risk to public safety.  Police remain in the area as part of an investigation.

EALIER STORY: RCMP NL is looking for 36-year-old Matthew Andrew of Sheshatshiu who was observed walking on Messek Street in Sheshatshiu carrying a firearm. His intent and current location is unknown. Residents are asked to stay inside and to report information to police. Updates to follow.

Information received suggests that Matthew Andrew is possibly in possession of a BB gun. No threats or reports of its use have been received. Anyone with information about his current location is asked to contact police.
