Several road closures on Sunday for the Battle of Britain Parade

To accommodate the Battle of Britain Parade and Wreath Laying Ceremony on Sunday, there will be several road closures and parking restrictions in place from 8:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
There will be rolling closures on Harvey Road next to the C.L.B. Armory, Long’s Hill, and Queen’s Road from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. There will be a rolling closure on Church Hill from noon to 12:30 p.m. and on Duckworth Street from Church Hill to Cochrane Street from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The will also be closures on Gower Street from Cathedral Street to Church Hill from 12:00 p.m. to 12:20 p.m., and from Cochrane Street to Prescott Street from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from Cochrane Street to Prescott Street from 1:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Ayre’s Cove will also be closed.
Vehicles parked on Water Street from Job’s Cove to Cochrane Street from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. will be ticketed and/or towed.
The Battle of Britain, in the Second World War, was a military campaign where the Royal Air Force defended the United Kingdom against the German Luftwaffe from July to October 1940.
