Several homes in St. John's damaged in overnight fire

The St. John’s Regional Fire Department responded to a call of fire on New Gower Street in St. John’s overnight.

Three attached homes were on fire.

Crews extinguished the fire but the homes had extensive damage which was mainly contained to the interior of the homes.

There were no injuries in the fire, but several people had to be evacuated and provided assistance from the Red Cross.

The fire is still under investigation.
