Several events planned for July 1 in St. John's

There will be several events happening in St. John's on July 1 to celebrate Canada Day and to observe Memorial Day.
The Sunrise Event at Signal Hill will take place from 6:00 am to 7:00 am.
The Royal Canadian Legion organized a Memorial Day Parade that begins at the Sergeants’ Memorial on Queens Road at 9:50 a.m. on July 1. The Memorial Day ceremony takes place at 10:45 a.m. at the National War Memorial.
From 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, there will be a Family Fun Day at King George V Park featuring inflatable bouncers, laser tag, interactive games, balloon twisters, a cultural concert, free cupcakes, and an interactive cultural experiences event in collaboration with Sharing our Cultures.
The Community Food Sharing Association will be collecting nonperishable food items. Pets are not permitted at King George V Park.
In case of inclement weather, Family Fun Day will move to the Techniplex, 39 Churchill Avenue.
At the Quidi Vidi Park Bandstand from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm, there will be a live concert followed by fireworks at 10:00 pm.
Pet owners are reminded to keep their pets inside during the fireworks. The dog park at Quidi Vidi Lake and a portion of the walking trail will be closed on July 1.
In case of inclement weather, the fireworks will be rescheduled to July 2 at 10 pm.
