Several commercial vehicles removed from service following checkpoint in Stephenville

RCMP Traffic Services West partnered with Highway Enforcement Officers and conducted a checkpoint on May 8, in Stephenville.


In total, eight commercial vehicles were inspected with 45 defects identified.


Six of the eight inspected vehicles were removed from service. A number of tickets were also issued. Some of the tickets include violations such as operating a vehicle with an expired driver’s licence, failing to produce or complete a pre-trip inspection, failing to complete a daily logbook and failing to obtain a special permit.
