Seven fishermen found alive on life raft; following fishing vessel disappearance off the coast of Newfoundland

The fishing vessel (Elite Navigater) was reported missing off the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland yesterday afternoon.

Multiple local fishing boats and with the help of Canadian Coast Guard and two helicopters after a day and a half the seven crew members were found alive on a life raft.

Search is ongoing for a small fishing vessel named Elite Navigater after it was reported to be overdue on a fishing trip off the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, around 1:00 p.m. yesterday (July 18)

At the time it was unclear how many people were on the boat but was later confirmed that seven individuals were on the boat.

Two CCG Boats, A SAR Helicopter, Sea Aircrafts and over half dozen fishermen in local boats came together to help in the search.
