Serious collision closes TCH on Friday #nltraffic

RCMP in Lewisporte is investigating after a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred on the Trans-Canada Highway approximately three kilometres west of Glenwood on Friday afternoon.

Both lanes of the TCH were impassable for about an hour. Police were able to reopen one lane of travel.

About three hours later the highway was reopened in both directions.

Traffic was backed up for some time.
