Serious accident on Pitts Memorial Drive

A serious accident occurred this afternoon on Pitts Memorial Drive at the TCH Cloverleaf in the westbound lane. The collision involved a motorcycle and a dirt bike.

Traffic was diverted East on TCH.

Pitts Memorial Drive was reduced to one lane while emergency crews responded.

Traffic was backed up for quite some time. There was no word on the extent of the injuries.

Shortly before 5:00 pm, RNC said that the road was reopened. The investigation continues.
