Section of Marine Drive Safe for Motoring Public

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure says that the portion of Marine Drive subject to gradual erosion is safe for all traffic, including snow clearing equipment.

Recently, the section of the roadway has been assessed. Appropriate signage and concrete traffic barriers are in place.

Over the winter months, there will be regular inspections.

The section of road was part of the Provincial Roads Plan for 2023 and design work is underway, with construction on that section of road starting in 2024.
