Second Person Dies After Weekend Collision Near Goobies #nltraffic

Two people have now died after a two-vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near Goobies on Saturday afternoon.

A 20-year-old man, a lone occupant of one vehicle died at the scene and a teenager, who was in the second vehicle succumbed to her injuries after being transported to the hospital.

The highway was closed for several hours and traffic was backed up.

RCMP are continuing to investigate.
