Search underway after flare deployed in TCH and Burgeo Highway area

Both the Bay St. George RCMP and Barachois Brook Ground Search and Rescue are conducting a search in an area of the TCH and Burgeo Highway today.

The search is the result of a flare being set off last night. The area is popular for fishing, hiking and berry picking.

Police are asking people to avoid the area while the search is underway.
