Scam making the rounds in the St. Anthony area

The RCMP is warning of a scam in the St. Anthony area.

People have received calls where the caller ID displays as the telephone number for the local detachment 709-454-3543.

The caller asks residents to confirm their social insurance numbers.

Police are urging people to not provide any personal information, including social insurance numbers, to unsolicited callers they do not know.
