Rovers called to rescue injuried hiker on Signal Hill, Monday morning

Rovers Search and Rescue members were requested by NL Health Services this morning to assist with an injured hiker on the Signal Hill at the North Head Trail.

Rovers crews said due to the location of the incident and the injuries, they had to deployed thier helicopter rescue team to retrieve the individual from the North Head Trail.

The individual was transferred from the helicopter back to the Paramedics at the Signal Hill interpretation center.

Rovers SAR wish to thank the public and first response agencies for their support in the incident.
