Route 230 Closed Due to Vehicle Fire

Bonavista RCMP advises that Route 230 has now fully reopened to traffic in both directions.

Bonavista RCMP advises that one lane of Route 230 has now reopened to alternating traffic.

Motorists should anticipate delays and proceed with extra caution through the area and follow the directions of first responders at the scene.

EARLIER:

Bonavista RCMP say a section of Route 230 is currently closed in both directions following a vehicle fire.

The closure is in effect between the Little Catalina turnoff and the Elliston West turnoff.

Motorists are being asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes where possible.

Police say updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
