Stephanie Winsor has been elected president of the Registered Nurses Union of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Winsor will serve alongside Kimberly Parsons, who was elected vice-president, and Tony Moores, who was elected secretary-treasurer. The union said the current provincial board will remain in place until Dec. 31, 2026.

Winsor brings more than three decades of nursing experience to the role. Throughout her career, she has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including acute care, long-term care, emergency departments, intensive care units, operating rooms, community health, rural health, leadership positions and remote nursing practice.

She currently works in casual and locum nursing roles with NL Health Services, including regional nursing assignments in coastal and Indigenous communities. Winsor has also served as a seasonal health officer with the Canadian Coast Guard.

Her involvement with the union spans several leadership positions, including branch president, vice-president, secretary-treasurer and shop steward. She has also served on the former Registered Nurses' Union Newfoundland and Labrador/Newfoundland and Labrador Nurses' Union board and was a member of the provincial negotiations team.
