RNC warning of increase in the use of dangerous Narcotics

The RNC is warning the public of the potential increase in the use of dangerous Narcotics in the metro area.

Over the past few days, the RNC responded to an increase in calls for medical assistance involving suspected drug overdose. Police say there is a possible increase in the availability of illicit, dangerous and potentially fatal drugs.

Many of the recent instances of suspected drug overdose have involved the use of Naloxone, indicating the presence of powerful opioids, such as Fentanyl.

A small amount of Fentanyl can be fatal.

The RNC is asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
