RNC to conduct training exercise in Corner Brook

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary will be conducting a training exercise in Corner Brook this weekend.

The RNC says residents may notice an increased police presence near the Blomidon Golf and Country Club on West Valley Road during the afternoons from Sunday to Thursday, Feb. 8 to Feb. 12.

Members of the public are being asked to avoid the area during the training period. Signage will be posted to inform motorists and pedestrians.

Police say all activities are planned and monitored as part of scheduled training aimed at strengthening emergency response capabilities.

The RNC is thanking the public in advance for their cooperation and understanding.
