Updated: One person deceased, four individuals arrested following Violent Altercation St John's

One male has died, and four individuals were apprehended following a violent incident in the Golf Avenue area of St. John’s, Wednesday morning.

RNC Cst. James Cadigan confirmed the fatality during a media briefing on Wednesday afternoon. Initially called for a weapons offense, law enforcement discovered a fatal altercation at the scene. As a result, the RNC has launched a homicide investigation into this unfortunate event.

The RNC were responding to the scene, handling a reported weapons incident in the Golf Avenue area of St. John’s.

Police were seen taking three individuals into custody with weapons drawn. Residents in the surrounding area were asked to stay indoors, but that advisory has now been lifted.
