RNC Stop Driver Going 145 km/h and Owing 11K in Fines #nltraffic


On Friday morning the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary conducted a traffic safety stop on the TCH near Corner Brook for a vehicle speeding at 145 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.


During the traffic stop, it was revealed that the driver was suspended and $11,000 owing in outstanding traffic fines.


As a result, the driver, a 33-year-old male resident of Grand Falls/Windsor was arrested and charged with speeding in excess of 31 km/h over the posted speed limit and driving while suspended.


The accused was released with a no-drive condition and will appear in court at a later date.
