RNC seizes quantity of illicit drugs

The RNC in St. John's seized a quantity of drugs during a drug trafficking investigation with the assistance of postal inspectors with Canada Post.

Last month the RNC executed multiple search warrants resulting in the seizure of 7.5 kilograms of cocaine along with $8000 in Canadian currency and other drug paraphernalia.

The approximate street value of the seized cocaine is in excess of $400,000.

Three individuals have been arrested as a result. A 29-year-old male, a 26-year-old female and a 25-year-old female all from the Northeast Avalon. The three were arrested and released as the investigation continues.
