RNC seeking information following gunshots in St. John's

The RNC are asking for the public help after gunshots in downtown St. John's on Friday afternoon.

Officers on patrol heard what they believed to be gunshots and responded to the direction of Brazil Street where they were waved down by a member of the public.

Officers determined that multiple gunshots had been fired at a vehicle parked outside of an apartment building. There were no reports of injuries. This is believed to be a targeted event.

Police are seeking video footage from the area encompassing Brazil Street, Casey Street, and Lemarchant Road between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RNC at 709-729-8000.
