RNC responded to report of a hit and run with stolen vehicle in St. John’s

On Saturday afternoon the RNC responded to a report of a hit and run in St. John’s.

Police located the vehicle nearby a short time later. The 31-year-old male driver initially provided a false identity.

Officers determined the vehicle had been stolen and the driver’s true identity was established.

The driver is charged with Public Mischief, Possession of Stolen Property, Driving while Prohibited, and Breach of Release Order.

The subject was held for court.
