RNC respond to large fight in Mount Pearl

On Friday evening the RNC responded to a large disturbance in the City of Mount Pearl.

Responding officers were met with a large group of individuals who were yelling and screaming and engaged in a fight.

Two of the individuals had been bear sprayed at the scene sustaining moderate injuries.

An 18-year-old male was arrested a short time later and charged with two counts of Assault with a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. He was transported to the St. John’s City Lock to appear in court.

Police are actively searching for a second male suspect involved in the incident.
