RNC Request Assistance as Homicide Investigation Continues

The RNC is looking to identify the individual in this photograph. The RNC believes that they have information pertaining to a homicide that occurred on February 7.

On February 7 police responded to a request for assistance in the area of Mayor Avenue and Newtown Road in St. John’s, following the report of a man who had sustained injuries and was in distress. 22-year-old Seamus Secord had sustained serious life-threatening injuries and later died in hospital.

As a result of the investigation, 21-year-old, Robert Belbin of St. John’s was identified as a suspect. He was charged with second degree murder and breach of release order.

The investigation remains active.
