RNC offers safe shopping tips for the holiday season

With many people looking ahead to holiday shopping, the RNC is reminding residents to stay vigilant while shopping for the holidays and has provided some tips.

When shopping, it is wise to do so with family or friends. If you must go alone, let someone know where you are and keep your purse and wallet close and closed.

Park in well-lit areas, especially if you are shopping after dark. Remember where you parked and have your keys ready before getting to your vehicle.

Always lock your vehicle and never leave valuables in plain sight.
