RNC make arrest in homicide investigation

The RNC has made an arrest in a homicide investigation.
Police have arrested 21-year-old, Robert Belbin.
Belbin was arrested without incident and has been held to appear in court on the charges of second-degree murder and breach of release order.
On February 7, officers responded to a request for assistance in the area of Mayor Avenue and Newtown Road in St. John’s, following the report of a man who had sustained injuries and was in distress.
On arrival officers located 22-year-old Seamus Secord. Secord had sustained serious life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
