RNC Investigating Weapons Offence in Metro

The RNC is investigating an incident of shots fired in St. John’s.

On Sunday evening police responded to reports of gunshots fired in a west-end neighbourhood of St. John’s.

Officers contained the area and began gathering information.

A man was located in the area with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds, which were believed to be non-life-threatening.

He was transported to a hospital to be treated for the injuries.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
