RNC investigating vehicle-pedestrian collision in St. John's

The RNC is investigating a hit and run collision involving a pedestrian in St. John’s.

Police say on Monday evening a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Signal Hill Road. When the pedestrian was hit, the operator of the vehicle involved had abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

When officers arrived they noted significant damage to the vehicle. A short distance from the scene the individual believed to be operating the suspect vehicle was located by officers.

The male pedestrian was taken to the hospital to seek medical assistance.
