RNC investigating vehicle-pedestrian collision

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating following a vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred in Labrador City around 7:55 a.m. on Thursday.

Police responded to the intersection of Avalon Drive at Route 500 in relation to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The operator of the vehicle involved was identified at the scene by responding officers. The pedestrian, a 42-year-old man, was transported to the hospital to seek treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Police are seeking any witnesses or video footage from the area around the time of the crash. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact the RNC at 709-944-7602.
