RNC investigating suspicious death in St. John's

A 25-year-old male from St. John’s is dead. The RNC is treating the death as suspicious.

Early on Sunday morning, the RNC located an injured male lying on the ground in the area of Sebastian Court in St. John’s.

An ambulance was dispatched to the scene. The male was transported to a hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced deceased.

The RNC will work with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the male’s cause of death.

It is believed that the events resulting in this suspicious death were not random.

Investigators are seeking any witnesses or video footage in the area of downtown St. John’s surrounding Sebastian Court from midnight to 2:00 am on Sunday, April 30. The RNC requests that anyone with information to assist this investigation contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
