RNC Investigating Fatal Collision on Southern Shore Highway

The RNC is investigating a fatal collision which occurred on the Southern Shore Highway yesterday morning.

Police have confirmed that a 78-year-old male from Mobile, who was the driver of the vehicle travelling north, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger, a 75-year-old female was transported to the hospital.

The male operator of the vehicle travelling south was also taken to the hospital.

Responding officers determined that a vehicle travelling south and a vehicle travelling north had collided in the area. The collision resulted in damage to a third vehicle that had also been travelling north.
