RNC charges Corner Brook woman after dog attack injures two people

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has charged a 45-year-old woman after a roaming dog bit two people in Corner Brook.

Police received a call at about 1:15 p.m. on Aug. 19 reporting that a large-breed dog had bitten two people. Both victims required medical attention.

Following an investigation, police charged the dog's owner under the Animal Health and Protection Act for failing to keep the animal safely tethered.

The woman is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

The RNC continues to investigate the incident in cooperation with the City of Corner Brook.
