RNC charge youth in connection with sexual violence

The RNC has charged a male youth in relation to historical events of sexual violence, which is believed to have occurred in St. John’s from 2019 to 2020.

The report indicated that the youth engaged in sexual violence upon a child.

The accused was arrested and charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, exposure, and making explicit material available to a child.

He has been released from custody on conditions, set to appear in Provincial Court on a later date.
