RNC charge St. John’s man with drug trafficking following search warrant

The RNC has charged a St. John’s man with drug trafficking following a seizure at a residence in the city.

Police executed a search warrant at a home on Canada Drive on Tuesday.

Thirty-nine-year-old Chris Oake was arrested after police seized a quantity of suspected cocaine and Percocet pills. The substances will undergo laboratory testing by Health Canada to confirm their composition.

Oake was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court today on two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, as well as charges related to breaches of a court order.

The investigation is ongoing.
